Acceptance
These Terms & Conditions apply to the Star Mind Abacus website, student panel and mobile app (the “Services”) and to enrolment in our classes. By enrolling a student or using the Services you agree to them. If the user is under 18, a parent or guardian must accept these terms on their behalf and supervise their use.
Student accounts
- Accounts are created by your branch after enrolment. Keep login details confidential; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell your branch straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- Accounts are personal to the enrolled student and must not be shared or sold.
Classes, levels and the demo class
- The free demo class has no payment and no obligation to enrol.
- Batch timings, centres and teachers may change; we will inform you in advance where we can.
- Promotion to the next level depends on the student’s assessment. We do not guarantee specific results, speeds or exam outcomes.
Fees and refunds
- Fees, kit charges and payment schedules are confirmed by your branch at enrolment.
- Fees are paid directly to the branch. The app does not process payments and does not offer in-app purchases.
- Fees once paid for a level, and charges for kits and books already issued, are generally non-refundable unless the branch agrees otherwise in writing.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Services: no attempting to access other students’ accounts, copying or redistributing our worksheets and content, interfering with the app’s security, or using it for anything unlawful.
Intellectual property
All course material, worksheets, videos, logos and app content belong to Star Mind Abacus or its licensors. They are provided for the enrolled student’s personal learning only.
Availability and changes
We try to keep the app available, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may update or change features, and we may suspend accounts that break these terms or when a student is no longer enrolled.
Limitation of liability
The Services are provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Star Mind Abacus is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app or website. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law.
Privacy
How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the courts of Pune, Maharashtra.
